Title: NS Series 1600/1700/1800
Post by: skykid340 on Wednesday 20 March, 2019, 14:49:42
Hello everyone I would like to talk about the NS Series 1600 - 1800 that could be made in the future. Railtraction's NS 1800 in my opinion is outdated for TS2019 and all of us would like a new addon that adds the NS Series 1600 - 1800 for Train Simulator with good a ATB system unlike railtraction's. Please share your opinions guys. :)

We would love that, but there's a gentlemen's agreement between RT and CT that they won't compete. In other words, the one man that makes a decent ATB emulation can't make the loco around it, because one of his partners has it on sale. ;)

Christrains has other partners like aerosoft and just trains, he can just break up with railtraction and let his products be off from railtraction's website, so in the end Chris would be able to make what ever he wants like the NS 1600 - 1800.

He can do that.
However, the impact will then be greater than you think.
We, as a consumer, will not get any benefit from this.

Let me give you an example, DTG made their own ES 64 F4 and for Virtual Railroads the made their own ES 64 F4 which I think is amazing and also DTG partner is Virtual Railroads and theirs no conflict. If Christrains decided make to the NS 1600 or 1700 only "NOT" the 1800, he would be able to put on RT's website for sale and then they will have no conflict. RT has their 1800 and CT would have the 1600/1700. Think about it
